A quick and easy spice cake made with beer! Our family enjoys this cake as a Christmas Eve goodie!Ingredients | Beer Can Cake Valentines Day1 ½ cups all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking powder1 teaspoon ground cloves1 teaspoon ground cinnamon1 teaspoon ground allspice½ teaspoon baking soda¼ teaspoon salt½ cup butter or margarine, softened1 cup brown sugar1 egg, beaten1 cup beer1 cup chopped walnuts (Optional)DirectionsPreheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.Sift together flour, baking powder, cloves, cinnamon, allspice, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.In a large bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and beat well. Add flour mixture alternately with beer and mix well to combine. Fold in the chopped walnuts.Pour into a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
